Categories News Portfolio Tech Tips Misterfix | iPad Mini touch digitizer repair #2 July 24, 2018 Replacing a touchpad (a digitizer) isn’t a trivial task for a casual man or woman. But for our technicians, it took us just 1.5 hours to replace the digitizer on an iPad Mini. As many other iPad mini users, our client decided to replace the broken digitizer on their iPad Mini on his own. Unfortunately, the digitizer then started to react randomly to touches by opening and closing apps, or swiping whenever possible. It turned out that the delicate cable wires were folded and damaged when the digitizer was installed back on the iPad Mini. We re-attached the top of the digitizer, then folded in the digitizer cable to avoid any incidental damage. Finally, we removed the adhesive from the bottom before fully attaching the new digitizer onto iPad Mine. The result you can see in the photo.
